Nine volunteers support and enrich the artists-in-residency program, acting as everyday assistans and buddies of our photographers. During this monotonous summer period, there is plenty of variety in the volunteers' lives: discussions with photographers regarding their projects, organisation of photo-shoots and endless nights submerged in friendly conversation. Simultaneously, it is an excellent opportunity to learn something new and to practice one's English, Portuguese, or even Italian. Conclusion: volunteering is great for one's self-esteem, personal development and a valuable contribution to one's environment.
